We’d love you to join us!
We’re glad you have found our website and invite you to join us at any of our Sunday services. Our vision is to be a thriving community of Jesus’ followers who are filled to overflowing with the love of God. We are an evangelical church located at Tuggerah on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW, just a short distance from the M1 freeway and Tuggerah station.
Good News Week 4-6 January 2023
School holiday fun for kids, youth & adults
What to expect
On a typical Sunday, we sing songs of praise to God, share a time of prayer, read a passage from the Bible and listen to a talk to help us understand what God’s word means for us today. All three of our services last for about an hour and a half.
Come as you are
We are a community of imperfect people where everyone is welcomed. We dress casually so come along in whatever is comfortable for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a great singer or reader, you are welcome to just come along and listen.
Stay for a cuppa
We invite you to join us for morning tea or supper after the service. This is a great opportunity to increase our sense of community as we encourage each other, share our lives and deepen our friendships.
Your children
Children and teens are an important part of our church family. During our morning services we have Kids Church with trained teachers for babies through to year six and a teens Bible study group for years 7-9. All of our teachers have current Working With Children Checks. Children who come to The Lakes have a great time in Kids Church, but if you’re new and your children would rather stay in church with you, then they’re most welcome to do so.

Mandarin translation 国语同声翻译
At The Lakes we have a thriving Chinese community. Our 10.30am service is translated into Mandarin and available on YouTube if you need to view from home. The Mandarin translation is also available through an in-house loop for those that come to the premises.
We run activities and events across the year where Chinese meet, socialise and grow in the knowledge and love of Christ. Find out more via the button below.

Psalm 88
Scripture References: Matthew 26:36-39, Psalms 88:1-18
From Series: "Psalms: The Songs of King Jesus"
The Psalms are a collection of Israel’s songs and prayers expressing their hardships and hopes as they trust God’s promise to bless the world through his universal forever King. It has been said that ‘Jesus bled the Psalms’. In the Gospels we see Jesus meditating on them, praying them and singing them. The Psalms tell the story of Jesus and are given to us to help us follow his way of trust and obedience. As Psalm 2 declares, “Blessed are all who take refuge in him."
