There are two ways to live. The first is in rebellion against God—ignoring him and living life our own way. The end result is the rightful judgment of God and the dreadful prospect of eternity separated from him. But there is another way. If we turn to God and ask for forgiveness, trusting in Jesus as the resurrected King and Savior, then everything changes. God accepts Jesus’ death as payment for our sinful rebellion, and freely and completely forgives us. He pours his own Spirit into our hearts and gives us a new life that stretches past death and into eternity. We become part of God’s own family living with Jesus as our loving king.
