Join us for an afternoon of fun creative activities to get you ready for Spring. We will hear from a guest speaker and enjoy high-tea-style afternoon tea.

More info and registration details will be available here closer to the event date.

Join us for a hearty BBQ breakfast with a bunch of other fair dinkum blokes and hear an encouraging talk. This is a great event to invite a mate to.

In a beautiful twist to the expected plot-line, Jesus is a servant king. There really is more to Easter than chocolate eggs and a day off work… come and hear the surprising story of a servant king who shows his love and power not by how many people serve him, but by how many he serves.

Starting 1pm Sunday 9th May at the Ministry Centre

Tim Lynn will lead a group through the Preliminary Training Certificate (PTC) unit Christian Worship. At The Lakes, we know we are called to be worshipers of God. We never want to stop at merely knowing the things of God, but go on being people who in mind, heart and body, worship God and glorify Him in all we do.

The course runs for around eight weeks. Register (or express your interest in doing PTC in the future) via the blue Register button. Fill out the form and we’ll be in touch with you soon.

Christian Worship: Elective Unit. Christian Worship explores how we can best worship God with a particular emphasis on how we should think about what happens when we gather together in worship. We begin by tracing the origins of worship through the Old Testament sacrificial system, moving on to consider the changes brought to worship by the gospel. With this groundwork laid the subject considers topics such as the use of music and liturgy in public worship gatherings.

Starting 3pm Sunday 2nd May at the Ministry Centre

How the Bible Hangs Together is a four-week course that explores the main storyline of the Bible. Discover how the Old and New Testaments relate to each other and how every part of the Bible points us to faith in Jesus Christ, training us for living a righteous life before a holy God.

You can register for this course, or your interest in doing it in the future, via the blue Register button. Fill out the form and we’ll be in touch with you soon.

“…you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:15-17
